Ljungskile SK away (aka final #2)

What: Uber important game for us in the league.
Who: Ljungskile SK & Assyriska FF
Where: Not in Sodertalje.
When: 11-10-2009, 1am (Australian Eastern time).
How: Watch on C Sports (no really, watch it this week, C Sports have improved their broadcast, or so they say).

Le Preview:
Potential coach of the century, Conny Karlsson, decrees “We have everything to gain”. Lamine Conateh and Andi Toopuu will return from suspension, and I presume they will come straight back into the team, replacing Pierre Bengtsson at centre-half and the brilliant Nahir Besara in the centre of midfield. Eddie Moussa also returns from suspension, however he is not a certain starter. Batan and Furuseth are well and truly over their injuries after starting last week against Vasby, and as such coach Conny has a bit of a selection dilemma ahead of him. This is how I think we will line up:

Berglund
Lorentzon – Conateh – Bergman – Samuelsson [Batan]

Furuseth – Toompuu – Östlundh – Batan [Besara]

Marklund – Moussa

[] – possibilities. Though there are other permutations Conny may choose to venture with.

The situation:
Thanks to the pseudo-ethnic’s horrendous (but hilarious) collapse late on against Aziz Corr Nyang FC GIF Sundsvall, we’re still 1 point from 3rd and 2 points from second place. Klicka har for the table. Fortunately, this puts Confused Assyrians FC well and truly out of the race for promotion. A draw would have been mightily salubrious to our prospects, but a win for Sundsvall did just as well to satisfy our cynical hungers. Anyways, Sundsvall host Vasby United. I am 100% certain they will win, no doubt about it (*jinx* *jinx* *jinx*). Nyang is suspended for this game, as is their 26-year-old Icelandic forward Hannes Sigurdsson (out for the rest of the season through injury) who has scored 10 goals in 22 games this season. Åtvidabergs FF have an even easier game – they are at home to IK Sirius. Bet your house on a home victory (*jinx* *jinx* *jinx*).

Wikipedia Opposition scouting:
- Ljungskile has four Americans in it’s squad (that’s sure to please some of the viewers of this site who may happen to be reading this blog out of curiosity or sheer boredom).
- These guys are dangerous, attested by their recent comprehensive brushing aside of Falkenbergs 3-0 at home, which completely ended the falcon’s (I made that nickname up) promotion hopes.
- Three of their players have scored more goals than our top scorer in the league, which may or may not be a good thing.
- Can you tell I haven’t got much time or desire to write up a proper preview today? [The Australia v Holland game tonight which I am attending may have had something to do with this].
